Encryption, Authentication, and Program ControlsPrivilege Manager for Unix encrypts its own network traffic to prevent unauthorized access to highly sensitive information. Authentication is handled through challenge and response password schemes that can require one or more passwords, as well as multi-factor authentication. Privilege Manager further enhances security by restricting unauthorized or destructive programs and data maintained, stored, and/or executed on Unix systems. Only approved programs and data are allowed on Unix systems enabled with Privilege Manager. Privilege Manager also includes several program controls to prevent Trojan Horse programs. Checksum comparisons verify the integrity of programs to be run on the target system to prevent malicious or damaging attacks.
